It applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and restoring equipment to proper operating standards.
The electronics technician provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of maintenance.
Performs technical advisor services to customers for new and existing equipment locally and nationally.
Conducts, maintains, tests, and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems and components.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Ensures customer accounts are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner, addressing problems that may arise.
Maintains all procedures in compliance with company safety and quality standards.
Services existing customers as a technical advisor for products and services; troubleshoots and resolves issues.
Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment, including programmable controls, power supplies, drives, gauges.
Digital Multimeters and test equipment.
Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles and writing specifications.
Updates job knowledge by participating in products/industry training opportunities.
Protects organization's confidential/proprietary information, e.
g.
, trade secrets, customer lists, pricing.
Provides detailed records monthly for business development activities and status.
Represents company at industry events; promote/sale products and services.
Submits accurate orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
Maintains an organized shop and inventory.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma, general education degree (GED), technical degree, or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical program.
Proven experience in the electrical/electronic field prefer.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine detailed reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups, individual customers, and coworkers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS California Driver's License (current) - Required Proof of Auto Insurance - Required Ability to pass a criminal background test - Required.
COMPUTER SKILLS Basic computer proficiency - Required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Bilingual in Spanish - Preferred Demonstrate effective multi-tasking ability.
